She graduated Public Health at the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Social epidemiology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University and Social antropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences. During her PhD she focuses on social inequalities in mental health in European countries. Her research focuses on the association between socioeconomic status and mental illness in the context of demographic and social factors.

Mgr. Miroslav Líbal
He graduated Sociology and Social Policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University and then Social Epidemiology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. His PhD studies focus on the use of simulations and complex systems in health demography and social epidemiology. His professional interests include risk behavior in adolescents, cognitive ageing associated with quality of life, and more recently research and popularization of alternative voting systems.

She obtained a BA in Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and a BSc in Sport Science at Leeds Beckett University in the UK. With an interest in studying muscle health and quality of life of ageing populations through exercise and nutrition, she earned an MSc in Nutrition with an emphasis on nutritional epidemiology at the University of Leeds as well as MSc in Sport Nutrition at Leeds Beckett University. She graduated Social epidemiology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University and Social antropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, where she continues in studying Sociology. During her PhD she focuses on qualitative methods in quality of life and health research. Here research interest are qualitative methods in social epidemiology, demography, well-being and migration.

Mgr. Anna Altová
She obtained bachelor's degree Social-economic demography at the University of Economics and master's degree in Social Epidemiology. She focuses on lifestyle risk factors of cancer. She received Charles University Grant Agency founding for the project Motivations and barriers for cancer screening attendance among Czech women. In 2019/20 she successfully completed the European Doctoral School of Demography in Barcelona. She is one of the organizers of the Young Demographers Conference and a founding member of the EAPS PhD Network Steering committee. Mgr. Jan Carlos Sekera
Jan Carlos Sekera graduated from Geography with an emphasis on education at the University of West Bohemia and Social Epidemiology at the Charles University. Currently he works at the National Institute of Public Health in the National programme for AIDS prevention. His research interests concern epidemiology of STDs, HIV/AIDS epidemiology and STDs in men who have sex with men. He is a member of the International Union Against Sexually Transmitted Infection in the Data working group and the Health care availability working group of the Fast-Track Cities project.

Mgr. Vendula Machů
Vendula graduated development studies at the Palacký University, Olomouc and Social epidemiology at the Charles University. She worked the the National Institute of Mental Health as a member of the social psychiatry research team. Currently she is a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen in Netherlands.
